accident injuries amb 300

OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (10/28/13) - Deputies from the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office along with Ohio County EMS and the Rosine Fire Department responded to an injury accident Friday, Oct. 25,  at the 3000 block of Dan Road involving George House of Rosine, Charles Sharp and 20 children and six other adults.

Sharp was driving a tractor pulling a wagon full of people attending a birthday party/hayride when it was struck by a truck driven by House.

Sharp told police that when he saw the pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed, he pulled the tractor and wagon as far to the right as he could and came to a stop. The truck then veered in to the opposing lane missing the back tire of the tractor and struck the wagon right at the left wheels, a Sheriff's Office report said.

One juvenile male was flown from Horse Branch to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville due to injuries sustained in the accident. One juvenile female was transported to Ohio County Hospital. House was transported to Owensboro. All were reported as stable.

The accident remains under investigation by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office.
