Global Spectrum, the Management Team of the Owensboro Convention Center and Stewart Promotions Sign a Six-Show Deal

(11/12/13) - Global Spectrum, the management company of the Owensboro Convention Center, is pleased to announce that Stewart Promotions has agreed to have six shows at the Owensboro Convention Center in 2014.

The six new shows consist of five Flea Markets and one Christmas Gifts & Décor Show. The events are expected to bring in 10,000 to 12,000 attendees per show, creating a positive economic impact on the community. Stewart Promotions is located in Louisville, Kentucky and started as a family owned business in 1973. Their first show was at the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky. In almost 40 years they have grown to promoting and operating shows in Louisville, Kentucky; Indianapolis, Indiana; Knoxville, Tennessee; and now, Owensboro, Kentucky. “We are very excited to have our shows at the Owensboro Convention Center. It’s incredible to see everything that is happening in Owensboro. With the new riverfront park and Convention Center, we are looking forward to 2014 and have already started looking at dates for 2015,” said Terry Stewart, President of Stewart Promotions.

Dean Dennis, Owensboro Convention Center General Manager, and Terry Stewart will ink the deal today. “This is a big deal for the Owensboro Convention Center and the community. Stewart Promotions is an established promotions company with a great reputation. We look forward to a successful relationship,” said Dennis.
 
About the Owensboro Convention Center (owensborocenter.com): The new facility is currently under construction and scheduled to open in January 2014, in revitalized downtown Owensboro, KY. The multi-purpose facility will feature a 45,000 sq. ft. exhibit hall and an additional 47,000+ sq. ft. of meeting and banquet space, which includes two ballrooms.
