Caretender’s is Advocate for Seniors

OWENSBORO, Ky. (11/14/13) - They say “home is where the heart is” and Caretender’s Infusion Corporation wholeheartedly agrees with that statement.

According to the company's website, Caretender’s has been a leading provider of home health nursing, rehabilitation, and personal care services in Owensboro for 12 years. They are self-proclaimed “senior advocates” specializing in the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of their patients. In just a little over a decade, Caretender’s has expanded from 36 patients to more than 300, and now has four offices in Owensboro, Henderson, Hartford and Madisonville.

Caretender’s believes they are different than other home health services in that they have a fall prevention program and it is the only agency with a wound care specialist. They also have a new monitoring system that prevents re-hospitalization among senior citizens.

Lots of time and effort goes into making sure the staff is ready to take on some of the challenges of the patients’ care. At Caretenders, nurses have to have 10 hours of training to be able to take care of the senior patients.

“My staff is extra passionate,“ said Executive Director Judy Terry during at a Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday.
