Bomb Threat Confirmed Empty, Students and Staff Back in DCHS

breakingnews surfky 300aUPDATEOWENSBORO, Ky. (11/14/13) - Daviess County Sheriff deputies and emergency crew have cleared the scene at Daviess County High School, where a bomb threat was reported earlier today. 

The threat was called in by the school resource officer after a note was found on one of the bathroom stalls. Students and faculty were evacuated for several hours, but are now back in the building for regular classes and activities, according to Lora Wimsatt, Public Information Officer for Daviess County Schools.
The threat of a bomb in the school was confirmed to be an empty threat.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (11/14/13) - The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department responded to a bomb threat at Daviess County High School around 11 a.m. today.

The threat was called in by the school resource officer after a note was found on one of the bathroom stalls saying that there was a bomb in high school, according to Allyson Renfrow, Elite Supervisor at Central Dispatch.

Students and faculty have been evacuated for more than two hours and the sheriff deputies are in the process of searching the building. SurfKY will continue to keep you updated on this breaking news.
