OWENSBORO, Ky. (12/9/13) - The Daviess County Fiscal Court passed an ordinance relating to annual fees for county alcoholic beverage licenses in its second reading on Thursday.
The ordinance would have annual fees charged to properly qualified applicants in Daviess County, and provide for the sale of distilled spirits, wine and malt beverages by the drink from 1 to 11 p.m. Sundays.
Judge Executive Al Mattingly said that although the ordinance passed, there will be an “amendment in the near future”. Along with other changes, the amendment would enable a county-wide prohibition on Election Day.
