According to an Owensboro Police Department report, police were summoned to the 200 block of Sycamore Street in reference to a disturbance at about 10:42 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19.

The report said that the initial investigation confirmed that Mario Talbott had been shot in the chest. Talbot was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for treatment.

The continued investigation resulted in the arrest of Chance S. Morrow, 22, who was charged with first degree assault.

He is being lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
