Owensboro Seal 01 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (7/3/14) — Due to the anticipated heavy use of the new lawn at McConnell Plaza during the 4th of July celebration, the City of Owensboro will temporarily close the lawn from July 5 through July 10 in order to allow the lawn to recuperate.

By heavily watering the lawn and by limiting foot traffic during the recovery period, the new lawn will be better prepared for heavy traffic throughout the summer and fall.

Thank you for your understanding as we seek to preserve this investment in Owensboro's future.
