Henderson Police Arrest UMWA Rally Attendees

arrested handcuffs blue 300HENDERSON, Ky. (6/4/13) – Henderson Police said that during the UMWA Rally today, a total of 15 arrests were made for Obstructing a Highway, which is a Class B Misdemeanor. Those arrested were allegedly sitting in the intersection at First Street and North Main Street. Everyone who was arrested cooperated with law enforcement officers, authorities said.
 
They were then transported and lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center. Those arrested were from Kentucky, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Illinois.
 
All of the blocked streets were reopened by 12:45 p.m.
