hend police arrest3 300HENDERSON, Ky. (8/14/13) - The Henderson Police Department reported the following crimes for Aug. 2 through Aug. 13:

An arrest was made for Multiple Drug Offenses and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor on Fri., Aug. 9. Officers responded at the Holiday Motel regarding a warrant but observed drugs and drug paraphernalia. The drugs were within reach of two young children who were also in the room. A man was arrested for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd or Greater; Possession of Marijuana, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess, Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd Degree (drug unspecified), a Bench Warrant for Non-Payment of Fines, and a Parole Violation. A woman was arrested for Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Offense.

A Burglary Second was reported on Woodland Dr. on Mon., Aug. 12 at 4:54 a.m. The apartment, rented by Antonio Marigny, had been broken into and several expensive items were stolen totaling over $500. The investigation is ongoing.

A traffic accident with injuries was reported on Mon., Aug. 12 at 3:21 p.m. An SUV, driven by Geraldine Zurliene, was driven through the parking lot at Walgreens on Second St. when it collided with a pedestrian. The pedestrian was transported to Methodist Hospital by ambulance.

The Henderson Police Department responded to a Burglary 2nd Degree crime that happened between Fri., Aug. 2 and Mon., Aug. 12. The victim reported that an unknown individual broke into his apartment on 2nd St. The investigation is ongoing.

A crime of Theft of a Controlled Substance Class D Felony was reported Tues. Aug. 13 at 3 p.m. The victim, Robert A. Jones, reported that someone stole prescription medication from his vehicle while parked at the accountant office on N. Green St. The investigation is continuing at the Henderson Police Department

An Accident With Injury was reported on Tues. Aug. 13. A driver of a semi truck was traveling north on the Pennyrile Parkway and another driver drifted into the median. When the driver drove out of the median, the trailer jackknifed causing the semi truck to overturn onto its side. The passenger in the semi truck was transported to Methodist ER in regards to complaint of pain in his leg.
