HENDERSON, Ky. (9/12/13) – Kentucky State Police on Wednesday charged a Henderson County Detention Center employee with two counts of Third Degree Rape and two counts of First Degree Promoting Contraband, both class D felonies, following an investigation into allegations of official misconduct.
Authorities said Brittany L. Murch, 26, Henderson, allegedly “had inappropriate sexual relations with a state inmate housed at the facility…in August,” and that during the course of the investigation authorities determined Murch may have “brought methamphetamine and alcoholic beverages in the detention center.”
Murch is being held in the Henderson County Detention Center without bond. The investigation is continuing.
