Kyndle Hopes to Ignite Success in Western Kentucky Businesses

kyndle 300HENDERSON, Ky. (1/15/14) - December was a month of change for both Henderson’s Chamber of Commerce and North West Kentucky Forward with a major merger hoping to ignite opportunity in the western Kentucky area.

Kentucky Network for Development, Leadership and Engagement Inc. or Kyndle, launched in Henderson in December, connecting not only Henderson County but also Union, Webster and McLean counties.

Kyndle took more than a year to merge into what it is now; overlapping business leaders from four counties and exploring different models to create a prototype. Henderson Chamber of Commerce President Brad Schneider and other leaders and volunteers finally voted on modeling the organization after a program in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to create a goal to support businesses and lead economic development in western Kentucky.

“We’re pulling things together to become more efficient and unified,” said Schneider, Kyndle CEO.

Kyndle’s name reflects its sincerity to embark on positive changes in the region, according to Schneider.

“(It’s about) sparking success and igniting opportunity,” said Schneider.

County lines are blurred in this particular part of Kentucky and Kyndle hopes to work together as a region to attract new industry

and maintain existing businesses and to “get a lot more done”, according to Schneider.

“If one good company comes to the region, it benefits all counties,” said Schneider.

Kyndle also recently filled two key positions on its staff. Margaret Ridley, former project manager in Commerce Lexington’s economic development division, was named Kyndle’s vice president of business support. Also, Wes Rucks, former digital content producer for the Scripps Digital Division at the Evansville Courier and Press, was named Kyndle’s vice president of communications.schneider 150

Kyndle is located on the fifth floor of 145 N Main street Suite 500 in Henderson. For more information, email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ; or call: (270) 826-7505.
