Henderson Man Arrested After Fleeing by Car on Foot

hammond arrestHENDERSON, Ky. (1/20/14) – Freddie James Hammond, 51, was arrested and lodged after being charged with fleeing/evading police first degree, operating on a suspended license, and speeding 15 mph over the limit, by the Henderson Police Department around 1 p.m. Jan. 18.

Hammond’s charges stemmed from Hammond fleeing in a vehicle after HPD attempted to stop him for speeding. Hammond stopped his car near his home, fled on foot, and was finally located nearby by officers. Hammond was also arrested on three outstanding bench warrants for failure to appear, according to HPD.
