Nancy Gibson Named Director of District Relations and Operations

HEND COUNTY SCHOOL2 300HENDERSON, Ky. (7/12/14) — Ms. Nancy Gibson will assume the duties of Director of District Relations and Operations of Henderson County Schools effective July 9, 2014.

Gibson received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University, a Master of Arts in School Administration from Murray State University, and Rank 1 in School Superintendent from Murray State University.

Gibson has 19 years of experience in education. She taught in Henderson County Schools at 7th Street Elementary prior to becoming a curriculum specialist at A. B. Chandler Elementary and East Heights Elementary. She has served the past six years as Principal at East Heights Elementary School.

She is married to Phil Gibson and the mother of Graham Herron of Greenville, S.C.

Gibson noted, “I am honored to be selected as the Director of District Relations and Operations for Henderson County Schools. I am excited for this opportunity to be challenged to meet the high expectations of our new superintendent, Marganna Stanley. Ms. Stanley is charting a course to lead Henderson County Schools to excellence.”
