accidentwinjuries2 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/30/13) – On Monday, July 29, at approximately 2:13 PM, Madisonville Police Department (MPD) responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of South Madison Avenue and Sugg Street.
Once on the scene, officers found that 21-year-old Whitney Spencer, of Nashville, was at the stop sign at the intersection of Sugg Street and South Madison Avenue, facing west. At the same time, Betty Sanders, 48, of Madisonville, was traveling southbound on South Madison Avenue. According to Police officials, Spencer advised that she stopped at the stop sign and then proceeded into the intersection. Spencer stated that she did not see Sander’s vehicle until the vehicles collided. Spencer’s vehicle impacted the left side of Sander’s vehicle. Both air bags were deployed on Sander’s vehicle.
Both individuals were transferred to Baptist Health by private vehicle for treatment of possible injuries.
