Human Remains Found in Hopkins County Identified

breaking body identifiedHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (7/31/13) – The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the human remains located in a creek near Continental Drive in Madisonville have been positively identified.
 
On Saturday, June 29, 2013, the Hopkins County Sheriff Office received a call from residents on Continental Drive who had located human remains in the creek behind their residences.
 
Detectives from the Hopkins County Sheriff Office arrived on scene and began the recovery process of the bones. The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the recovery by Dennis Mayfield-Hopkins County Coroner, Wayne Burton-Assistant Hopkins County Coroner, Dr. Greg Wanger of the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office, and personnel from the Hopkins County Public Works Department.
 
According to Sheriff’s Office officials, the remains have been determined to be Rodney Brent (Bo) Hale. Hale reportedly went missing from a residence on Continental Drive on November 29, 2010. At this time no cause of death has been determined. The investigation is ongoing.
