Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle on Lightfoot Lane

pedestrian auto accident 01 blue 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (9/23/13) – On Monday, September 23, at approximately 7:25 a.m., Madisonville Police, Fire and EMS were dispatched to the scene of an accident on Lightfoot Lane involving a vehicle and two pedestrians.
 
According to Madisonville Police Department officer Robert Carter, Shelia Martin, 51, of Morgan Avenue, and Marsha Brown, 63, of Choctaw in Madisonville, were walking eastbound on Lightfoot Lane. At the same time, Katherine Crider, 17, of Lightfoot Lane in Madisonville, was traveling eastbound in a 2003 Honda Accord. Crider became temporarily blinded by the sun and failed to see Martin and Brandon walking on the edge of the roadway. Crider’s vehicle struck both pedestrians.
 
Martin and Brandon were both transported to Baptist Health ER by Med Center Ambulance Service.
 
The current condition of the pedestrians is unknown at this time.
