EARLINGTON, Ky. (11/5/13) — The Hopkins County Sheriff's Office has charged an Earlington man with trafficking in synthetic drugs.
According to a Sheriff's report, investigators from the Sheriff's Office and the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force were conducting an investigation in the sale and distribution of synthetic marijuana, when they obtained a tip that led to a search warrant.
Investigators discovered 13.5 pounds of suspected synthetic marijuana in a vehicle on Oakwood Avenue in Earlington. The substance has an estimated street value of $121,000, according to the report.
Police charged Johnathon Stokes with trafficking in systhetic drugs, first offense.
