HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (11/15/13) — Two more candidates have filed their candidacy papers with the Hopkins County Clerk's office for the 2014 election.
Hopkins County Attorney Todd P'Poole has filed for the office he holds now, and Pam Love has filed for Hopkins County Property Valuation Administrator.
Candidates have until Jan. 28 to file for office, where there will be a primary election. County clerk filings include county officials, city officials and school boards.
Other candidates, who have filed include Hopkins County Jailer Joe Blue, Hopkins County Clerk Devra Steckler, Matt Sanderson for Hopkins County Sheriff and Mark Lee for Madisonville City Council.
Federal, state and judicial offices must file with the Office of the Secretary of State.
Mike Seiber, a Democrat from Earlington, has filed for state representative for District 9, which include portions of Christian and Hopkins counties.
David G. Massamore and Shaun McEntire have filed with the Secretary of State for 4th District 1st Division Judge, which is a nonpartisan office.
