arrest three syntheticDAWSON SPRINGS, Ky. (11/27/13) — After police executed a search warrant Tuesday, Nov. 26 at a Dawson Springs residence, a synthetic drug operation was discovered and two women were arrested. Police also discovered and arrested a third suspect — a man hiding in the attic.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Troopers and Dawson Springs Police officers went to the residence on East Walnurt Street at 4:26 p.m. to execute the warrant. A search reveal suspected synthetic drugs, digital scales and material used to package drugs.

Police charged Emily C. Hammons, 19, Elizabeth A. Massey, 26, and Lawrence C. Tossi, 29, all of Dawson Springs, with trafficking in synthetic cannabinoid agonist or piperazines, possession of simulated controlled substance and posession of drug paraphernalia.

Hammons and Massey were also charged for second-degree hindering investigation; Tossi was also arrested on two Hopkins County bench warrants.

The three are being lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
