Three Troopers Promoted, Assigned to Madisonville

ksp2 logo 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (12/12/13) – The Kentucky State Police recognized the promotion of 48 officers throughout the state on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at a ceremony held at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in Frankfort.  One lieutenant colonel, two majors, nine captains, twelve lieutenants and twenty-four sergeants were commissioned.

Effective Nov. 16, 2013, the following three troopers were promoted and assigned to Post 2 Madisonville:

Senior Trooper Nicholas J. Rice was promoted to sergeant and remained assigned to Post 2 Madisonville.  Sgt. Rice has served at Post 2 Madisonville his entire career.  He is a 1992 graduate of Shafter High School (CA) and a 1997 graduate of California State University Bakersfield.  A resident of Hanson and native of Shafter, CA, Rice is a 10-year veteran of the agency.

Senior Trooper Timothy M. Sales was promoted to sergeant and remained assigned to Post 2 Madisonville.  During his career, Sgt. Sales has been assigned to Post 1 Mayfield and Post 2 Madisonville.  He is a 1991 graduate of Calloway County High School and a 1996 graduate of Murray State University.  A resident of Murray and a native of Eldorado, IL, Sales is an 11-year veteran of the agency.

Senior Trooper Charles D. White was promoted to sergeant and transferred from Post 3 Bowling Green to Post 2 Madisonville.  He is a 1998 graduate of Hart County High School.  He attended the University of Louisville and Western Kentucky University.  Until his promotion, Sgt. White had served at Post 3 Bowling Green.  A resident of Clarkson and a native of Hardyville, White is a 10-year veteran of the agency.

KSP Post 2 Madisonville serves the following counties:  Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Webster.
