MADISONVILLE, Ky. (12/14/13) ― A Madisonville man has been arrested for failure to comply with state sex offender registration laws.
Kentucky State Police report that Trooper Bob Winters received information that a man listed on the Indiana Sex Offender Registry was living in the Madisonville area. According to Winters' investigation, the suspect was listed on the Indiana registry as a lifetime registrant having an Evansville address.
Winters arrested Donald Williamson, Jr., 51, at 3:35 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12 at his Rosecreek Road residence in Madisonville. Williamson told Winters that he had been living at the address since July. Kentucky law requires sex offenders register within five working days of relocation.
Williamson was charged with failure to comply with sex offender registration, which is a Class D felony. He is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
