Kentucky State Police Wrap Up Food Drive

cram car ksp 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (12/14/13)— The Kentucky State Police wrapped up their fourth annual “Cram the Cruiser” food drive today.

Food collection sites were located in 16 posts throughout the state and at the agency’s headquarters in Frankfort.

“Things are going extremely well,” said Public Affairs Officer Stu Recke. “This is our fourth annual ‘Cram the Cruiser’ and of collecting nonperishable food items.”

The next step will be for the food to be distributed to local organizations and churches for families in need.

“We began on Nov. 22. This is actually the second time we have done this at Marketplace,” said Recke. “Marketplace has been extremely kind to us, and we have had nothing but success here. We appreciate everyone’s generosity.”
