Resident Detains Intruder Until Police Arrive

arrest  greerNORTONVILLE, Ky. (12/23/13) — A Nortonville resident detained an intruder until police arrived at their home at about 9:08 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23.

According to a Kentucky State Police report, Richard J. Greer, 19, of Mortons Gap had unlawfully entered the residence and was arrested by Trooper Nick Rice on the following charges: first-degree criminal trespass, public intoxication and possession of synthetic drugs.

Greer is being lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
