Madisonville Man Arrested for Meth

arrest riceMADISONVILLE, Ky. (12/26/13) — A Madisonville man was arrested for methamphetamines after police were summoned to a store, where the man had allegedly been disruptive.

According to a Madisonville Police Department report, an employee of the Ideal Market on North Main reported that a man had removed the trash can from the bathroom and that a syringe and a package were visible inside it.

Police located two men at 522 Hanson Street standing outside a vehicle that fit the man's description. A search of the vehicle revealed a bag of meth next to the passenger side door. The suspect took officers inside the residence, where he handed over marijuana, a syringe, rolling papers and a pill.

MPD charged Brian Patrick Rice, 29, with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia buy/possess and possession of a controlled substance (meth).

Rice is being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
