MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/3/14) — Madisonville Police made a drug arrest Wednesday, July 2 on West Railroad Street.
According to the Madisonville Police report, Officer William Roundtree was traveling west on West Railroad Street, when he noticed Jeremy Ray Massey, 19, of Madisonville walking west on the same street.
After Massey noticing Roundtree, he began to trot towards a rear of a residence. While Massey was headed behind the home Roundtree shouted several times to get Massey’s attention, but Massey continued to walk behind the house.
During this time, Roundtree noticed Massey had his right hand visible, but his left hand was in front of him as if he was trying to conceal something, the report said.
Massey reappeared from behind the house and then acknowledged Roundtree. Roundtree then redirected Massey back behind the residence, where he located two baggies containing synthetic drugs.
Roundtree then frisked Massey and found a small sack inside his pocket. Massey was then was advised of his rights.
The report also said, that sweep around the area was performed.
Massey was charged with non-payment of fines, possession of synthetic drugs, Class B Misdemeanor and tampering with physical evidence.He is currently being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
