Madisonville Woman Arrested for Alleged Two-For-One Shoplifting Trip

rosaMADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/9/14) — Madisonville Police responded to a theft complaint at Walmart Tuesday, July 8.

According to the Madisonville Police report, Rosa Lee Messamore, 37, Madisonville, was observed by asset protection concealing clothing in her purse in the shoe department. Messamore then exited Walmart with merchandise, then re-entered the store.

The report said, Messamore concealed more items in the boys undergarment isle and exited the store once more. Officers made contact with Messamore in the backseat passenger side of a vehicle in the parking lot. She admitted to police that she stole the items totaling $113, and she relinquished them.

Messamore also told police she stole items on impulse, the report said.

Messamore was charged with theft by unlawful taking or display shoplifting under $500.

She is currently being lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
