Two Injured in Vehicle Collision on Island Ford Road

Accident Injury 01 red 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/28/14) ― Two people were injured, when the driver of a 2009 Pontiac G6 swerved to miss a dog on Island Ford Road near Cross Creek Apartments Sunday afternoon.

According to a Madisonville Police report, Christine Blevins, 27, Madisonville, was headed north on Island Ford Road at 1:38 p.m. Sunday, July 28, when she crossed over the center line into the southbound lane after losing control of her vehicle.

Blevins’ vehicle came to rest with its front bumper embedded in the roadside ditch. She sustained cuts to the nose, a broken tooth, split chin, back pain and a possible broken right ankle, the report said. Her 6-year-old passenger riding in the back seat sustained pain in her nose and bruising to her left hip and right calf.
