MADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/28/14) — Madisonville Police received a domestic violence complaint call Sunday, July 27.
According to the Madisonville Police report, the victim advised officers, that he was struck in the head by his step-son, Antonio Gomatieous Lorandus Gant, 31, of Madisonville, after a verbal confrontation.
The report said that the victim advised officers that the quarrel started over a snake being in the residence. Gant believed it should have been killed right away, but the victim believed it could have been taken care of at a later date, the report said. When the quarrel escalated, Gant shoved the victim. Officers observed visible injuries to the victim.
The victim also advised police that Gant had left the scene in a white Monte Carlo. Officers were able to located Gant traveling west and a traffic stop was conducted on Osborne Lane, the report said.Gant was charged with assault in the fourth-degree, domestic violence, with minor injuries.
