Vehicle Flips Over in Trigg County Accident

rollover accident 300TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. (8/19/13) – On Friday, at 9:45 AM, Kentucky State Police (KSP) officials responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident on KY 139 near Muddy Creek Bridge.
 
According to Kentucky State Police, 49-year-old Leigh Ann Castleman of Kevil, Kentucky was traveling south on KY 139 when her vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway. Ms. Castleman steered the vehicle back onto the roadway, but overcorrected and crossed into the northbound lane. She overcorrected again and exited the right side of the roadway and over an embankment. Ms. Castlemans vehicle overturned 2-3 times before coming to final rest on its roof in a soybean field.
 
Castleman, who was restrained at the time of the collision, received only minor injuries to her left arm and hand, but refused transport by the ambulance.
 
The investigation continues by Trooper Robichaud.
