cadiz police arrest5 300CADIZ, Ky. (9/16/13) – The following is your update on Law Enforcement activity courtesy of the Cadiz Police Department.
 
William N. West, 45, of Cadiz was arrested on Sept. 12 at approximately 2:05 p.m. by Major Duncan Wiggins and charged with Violation of Conditions of Release. Police received a report of two suspicious people in the wooded area behind John L. Street Library. Major Wiggins located the subjects in the woods. West was arrested on August 8, 2013 and charged with violation of an EPO/DVO and Terroristic Threatening. He was released from jail on August 20, 2013 with the conditions he stay 500 feet away from and have no contact with the woman he was found in the woods with. West told police the two were "talking."
 
Jacob Jessup, 25, of Cadiz, was arrested on Sept. 14 at 5:27 p.m. by Sgt. Scott Brown and served a Trigg County District Court arrest warrant for Contempt of Court. Jessup failed to appear in court on September 10, 2013 and owes $1,351 in child support.
 
Ricky G. Hamilton, 51, of Cadiz, was arrested on September 15 at 12:42 a.m. by Officer Aaron Acree and charged with DUI - 2nd Offense; Reckless Driving; and Fleeing/Evading - 2nd Degree. Officer Acree observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Wharton Road. He attempted to stop the vehicle, but Hamilton turned on to Noel Drive and accelerated. Subject then pulled into his driveway at 169 Noel Drive. Subject admitted to drinking and failed three FST. He refused to submit a breath sample to determine Breath Alcohol Content.
