Cadiz Police Report Feb. 27, 2014

cadiz police arrest2 300CADIZ, Ky. (2/27/14) — The Cadiz Police Department released the following reports Feb. 26.

Major Duncan Wiggins was conducting an investigation on Cunningham Avenue on at 11:27 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25. While questioning a witness, Christopher T. Wharton, 44, of Cadiz, called the witness in the presence of Major Wiggins. Wharton was heard threatening to do serious injury to the witness by breaking his neck. Wiggins located Wharton a short time later at his residence at Main Street Villas. When Wharton was advised he was under arrest, he refused the officer's orders to turn around and put his hands behind his back several times and made non-compliant movements. Wiggins deployed his taser, at which point, Wharton was compliant from that point forward. Wharton was charged with harassing communications, terroristic threatening – third degree; resisting arrest and intimidating a participant in a legal process.

Chief Chad Grace arrested Norman T. Mitchell, 22, of Cadiz, Wednesday, Feb. 26 on a Christian County Circuit Court warrant charging Mitchell with felony probation violation stemming from a 2013 theft case. The warrant stated Mitchell left the area of his supervision without permission and has since been charged with another felony offense.

Chief Chad Grace arrested Elisha Bush, 26, of Cadiz, Feb. 26 on a Todd County District Court arrest warrant charging Bush with failure to appear in court to answer to charges of theft and a previous charge of failing to appear in court.

Sgt. Scott Brown arrested Shalonda S. Jones, 37, of Pembroke, Feb. 26 on a Trigg County Circuit Court arrest warrant charging Jones with felony probation
violation.
