UK Alumni Charity Game Brings Former Players Back To Rupp Arena Tonight

uk wildcat glow 300LEXINGTON, KY (9/9/2013)—At 7 p.m. tonight Rupp Arena will be filled with fans eager to see the 2009-10 basketball team hit the court again.

John Calipari is set to host the second annual UK Alumni Charity Game. Members of UK's 2010 Elite Eight and 2012 National Championship teams are set to square off in the alumni charity event. NBA rules say that they cannot confirm what players will be playing tonight.

Doors at Rupp are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. Approximately 17,000 tickets have been distributed for tonight’s game. Tickets can still be purchased at the Rupp Arena box office, online at Ticketmaster.com, at any Ticketmaster outlet or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. All proceeds from the game will go to charity.

Some of the top talent that has come through the UK basketball program and are currently or formerly playing professionally will be present at the game.

Prior to the Alumni Game the Fantasy Basketball Experience all-star game will be held at 5:15 p.m. Fantasy all-stars will be put up against former UK players Kenny Walker, Andre Riddick, Mark Krebs, Jared Prickett, Perry Stevenson, Ramon Harris and Randolph Morris. Wayne Turner and Jack “Goose” Givens are also possibilities.
