Two Injured in Single Vehicle Rollover Accident

rollover acc2PADUCAH, Ky. (6/24/13) – On June 23, at approximately 10:01 PM, McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a rollover injury accident in the area of 1712 Oaks Road.

Upon arrival Deputies found that 18-year-old Clint Reed was operating a red 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 truck, southbound on Oaks Road. Mr. Reed advised that while traveling south on Oaks Road with his passenger, 18-year-old Lauren Looney, they were looking for something in the vehicle. Mr. Reed advised that upon turning on the interior dome light and looking back to the road, he realized he had failed to turn for a curve in the roadway. Mr. Reed advised that he was unable to avoid driving into the ditch. Upon striking the ditch, the vehicle flipped end over end twice before coming to a rest facing back north bound.
 
Both Mr. Reed and Ms. Looney were transported to Baptist Health by Mercy Regional Ems for non-life threatening injuries.
 
Traffic was disrupted for approximately 45 minutes for investigation and cleanup of the scene.
 
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS, Reidland-Farley Fire Department, and Randy’s Towing.
