Single-Vehicle Accident on US 45

Accident Injury 01 green 300PADUCAH, Ky. (7/15/13) – On July 13th at 4:43 AM, McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an injury accident on US 45 near the intersection of Krebbs Station Road.
 
Upon arrival it was determined that 33-year-old Michael Weatherford of Paducah was operating a 1997 Toyota Camry north on US 45. Weatherford traveled off the roadway, slid down the embankment, striking several small trees before coming to a stop in the tree line next the US 45.
 
Weatherford stated that he was on the way to the hospital for severe headaches when he blacked out just before the accident. Weatherford stated that he didn’t remember anything about the accident.
 
Weatherford was transported to Lourdes Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
 
One lane of US 45 was blocked for approximately 50 minutes to allow for investigation and clean-up.
 
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS, Lone Oak Fire Department, and Meadows Towing.
