drug arrest 03 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (7/25/13) – Sheriff Curtis McGehee, with the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department, has announced that five arrests were made over the past two weeks involving drugs in the Muhlenberg County area.
 
An investigation by Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Detective Wade Griggs has resulted in the arrest of Troy L. Piper of 335 Mudd Street in Drakesboro. During the investigation Griggs found a meth lab near Piper’s home. On July 22, Piper was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center on charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st offence; and remains in jail under a $20,000 bond. Griggs was assisted by Detective Troy Gibson.
 
Muhlenberg County Sheriff Detective Troy Gibson, assigned to Pennyrile Narcotic Task Force, arrested three on July 24th for Trafficking in a Controlled Substance-1st degree, 1st offence (< 2 grams, meth). Troy S. Lyons, 6977 Leslie Lane, Owensboro; Robert W. Noffsinger, 8580 State Route 70 West, Bremen and William C. Daniel of 300 Nebo Cemetery Road in Greenville were all charged and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. Gibson was assisted by MCSO Deputies and Central City Police Dept.
 
On July 15, Detective Gibson arrested Heather Barber of 177 Dunn Lane in Greenville for Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Controlled Substance Endangerment to a Child. The arrest came as a result of an ongoing investigation stemming from an incident on June 5, when officers went to Barber’s residence with a search warrant. On that date, Jeremy Barber was arrested and charged with numerous drug related charges including manufacturing meth.
