ind bank 300PADUCAH, Ky. (8/14/13) – Independence Bank announces country legend, Gary Allan as the co-headliner for the “Sounds of Independence,” a free outdoor concert also featuring Sheryl Crow on Saturday, October 19, 2013. The concert will be held in downtown Paducah celebrating the opening of the Bank’s signature building – Jefferson Square in Paducah. This will be a similar celebration to the opening of the two story replica, Freedom Square in Bowling Green, Kentucky in May of 2012.

Danny Evitts, President said, “Independence Bank is very proud to serve our communities throughout western Kentucky. To help introduce Jefferson Square, we are having a free concert to say "Thank you" to our friends and customers. Independence Bank first came to Paducah in 2004 and it is our hope that Jefferson Square will reflect the commitment we have to Paducah - that we are a bank devoted to this community."

Gary Allan is celebrating the release of his newest album “Set You Free,” which represents a breath of fresh air as the lyrics of each song represent a particular journey throughout Allan’s life, giving him a new sense of freedom. Allan known for #1 singles like – “Man to Man,” “Tough Little Boys,” “Nothing On But The Radio,” and “Watching Airplanes.” Allan’s obtained seven gold albums, three of those certified platinum during his 17 year recording career. Gary Allan and Sheryl Crow will be co-headlining the Free and Easy tour this fall.

The performance of Sheryl Crow was announced at a press conference held in Paducah on July 19th. Sheryl is a nine time Grammy winner who began her career as a jingle and back-up singer has reached the pinnacle of professional solo success. Defining songs throughout her career have been “All I Wanna Do,” “Strong Enough,” “Soak Up the Sun,” and “If It Makes You Happy,” just to name a few. Her new country single “Easy” has already been released off her forthcoming Warner Music Nashville record that is set to release later this year.

The Sounds of Independence concert is free to the community, but Independence Bank customers get VIP seating. If you’re not an Independence Bank customer, open your account today to get upgraded to VIP seating and get your event ID card. If existing customers already have an event ID card from a previous Sounds of Independence concert a new card will not need to be issued.
