Elderly Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision

accident two car 300PADUCAH, Ky. (9/9/13) – At approximately 12:10 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013, McCracken County Sheriffs Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Lone Oak road and Charleston Avenue for a two vehicle collision with injuries.
 
It was discovered that both vehicles were northbound on Lone Oak road. A 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 54-year-old Carrie Arp of Mayfield had stopped behind cars yielding to a funeral precession. A 2005 Chrysler Town and Country driven by 40-year-old Gail Wagner of Paducah collided with the rear of Arp’s vehicle. Wagner stated she looked down briefly and did not see the cars stop.
 
A passenger in Arp’s vehicle, 70-year-old Bonnie Turner of Mayfield, was transported to Baptist Health for pain she was having in her back.
 
All parties were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.
 
Also on-scene was the Lone Oak Fire Department and Mercy Regional EMS.
