veteran proudPADUCAH, Ky. (9/24/13) – Paducah Parks Services and the Veterans Day Planning Committee are accepting nominations for the 2013 Distinguished Veteran Award through October 16. The winner will be honored during Paducah’s annual Veterans Day Parade on Monday, November 11.

For the Distinguished Veteran Award, we are looking for candidates who currently reside in McCracken County and who continue to stay active and involved in their community. Anyone, male or female, who has served in any branch of the military may be nominated. Nomination forms are available in the Parks Office or online at www.paducahky.gov.
