fall break camp 300PADUCAH, Ky. (9/27/13) – There are a few slots still available for the Fall Break Camp offered through the Parks Services Department.

The camp for kids in K-5th grades is held at the Anna Baumer building at Noble Park. The camp is October 7-11 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The camp includes sports, arts and crafts, games, field trips, and a snack.

Paducah Parks Services Recreation Specialist John Gorrell said, “Our goal is to keep the kids active and entertained while they are out of school and enjoying the fall break. Kids get to make new friends and participate in activities that they may normally not get to do.”

Gorrell added, “We try to find out the interests of each child and tailor some of our activities around those interests to make sure each child leaves camp having had a good time.”

Children should bring a sack lunch. The camp has a refrigerator and microwave. The camp costs $85 per child. The deadline to register is Friday, October 4 at 5 p.m.

For more information about registering for classes or activities and their cost, visit the website www.paducahky.gov or call 270-444-8508. Registration also is available in person at the Parks Services Office located at 1400 H.C. Mathis Drive.
