sex off cary greenMcCracken County Sheriff’s Department arrested Cary Green, registered sex offender, Feb. 25. MCCRACKEN COUNTY (2/26/14) — McCracken Deputies observed a vehicle traveling west bound on Park Avenue, that turned off onto Stuart Nelson Park Road and, then pulled into Linwood Motors in an attempt to elude deputies at 5:34 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s report, once the vehicle was located, deputies made contact with a Cary Green, 39, of Cairo, Ill. and found he was driving without current registration, insurance on the vehicle and on a suspended operator’s license.

He was then taken in for traffic offenses.

After further investigation, deputies discovered Green was on the sex offender registry and showed that he was an absconder and non-compliant, but there was no information showing an arrest warrant.

Illinois State Police was then contacted, the report said.

ISP told the McCracken deputies that Green failed to notify the Illinois Probation and Parole of his whereabouts and were still unaware of his current residency.

Green is listed as being on supervised release only and a lifetime registry for several offenses including criminal sexual assault by force and aggravated criminal sexual abuse/bodily harm, the report said.

It is believed that Green had been residing in Paducah, possibly at a McKinley Street address.

Green was further charged with failure to notify the Department of Transportation of an address change and failure to comply w/sex offender registration, a class D felony.

He is currently being lodged into McCracken County Regional Jail.
