accidentwinjuries2 300MCCRACKEN COUNTY (2/27/14) — McCracken County deputies responded to an injury collision off 6700 block of U.S. Highway 45 at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25.

According to the McCracken Sheriff’s report, a William Hooper, 27, of Paducah was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 45 with a Holly Ann Tharp, 22, of Metropolis IL and a juvenile.

While attempting to merge from a left turn lane back into the fast lane on Highway 45, Hooper failed to see a Greg Potts, 28, of Paducah who was traveling in the fast lane.

After Hooper and Potts made contact, both vehicles proceeded off the roadway sending Tharp and Potts to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, the report said.
