Hydroplane Results in Collision on Porter Pike

accidentwinjuries2 300BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (10/2/13) – On October 2, 2013, Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call of an injury collision in the 2000 block of Porter Pike.

Through investigation, it was determined that the driver of Unit 1, Nicholas Harp, 18, of Bowling Green was driving a green 1995 Toyota passenger car, when the vehicle hydroplaned. Harp attempted to regain control of the vehicle and was unable to do so, causing the vehicle to run off the road striking the guardrail head-on.

Harp was transported by ambulance. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a contributing factor in this collision at this time. Harp was wearing a seatbelt. The collision is still under investigation.
