BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (12/10/13) — Local artists will be featured at the Main Library, the Bob Kirby Branch and the Smiths Grove Branch for the month of January.
Martha Duff will exhibit her paintings starting Monday, January 6th, in the Porter Café at the Main Library. Martha's paintings include landscapes from her travel and Kentucky birds. She will also have paintings depicting the life of Christ.
Matt Fleischman will exhibit his oil paintings at the Bob Kirby Branch.
The photography of Mark Griffin will be at the Smiths Grove Branch through the months of January and February. His photographs feature regional images as well as images from his travel. Mark Griffin is the reference librarian at the Logan County Public Library, and the author of Stand There and Tremble: When the Night Riders Came to Russellville. He is currently working on a biography on Tom Rhea, one of Kentucky's most powerful politicians during his lifetime. President Franklin D. Roosevelt made a special point to stop in Russellville to take Rhea for his support in getting him elected.
