WKU Regents Approve Programs, Coach's Contract

wku newsBOWLING GREEN, Ky.(1/24/14) – The Western Kentucky University Board of Regents today (Friday) approved a new undergraduate programs and the contract for the new football coach.

The Board approved a new bachelor of arts in criminology within the Sociology Department. The proposal cited a high demand for graduates and that WKU already offers a criminology minor and graduate program.

Regents also approved undergraduate minors in family home visiting and systems engineering.

The Board also approved the employment contract with new Head Football Coach Jeff Brohm. Brohm’s base salary in the four-year contract is $600,000.

In other business, the Board:

  • Approved emeritus status for Harry Allen and Cory Lash, both retired associate professors of Journalism and Broadcasting.
  • Approved sabbatical leaves for 11 faculty members.
