WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (8/21/13) - The face of medicine in Webster County is about to change, but exactly how that change will come about is unclear.
Patients of Dr. Nhan Nguyen of Webster County Family Medicine and Methodist Family Medicine-Sebree were notified by letter recently that Dr. Nguyen would no longer be practicing at either of these Webster County locations after August 30, 2013.
The letter went on to say that Dr. Kelly Cole and Heather Davis, NP will begin practicing at the Dixon clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. starting October 1, 2013.
Cole and Davis currently practice at Cole Medical Clinic in Providence, the clinic started by Dr. Wayne Cole in 1971. Rumors about the facility’s future began circulating when it’s founder took a medical leave earlier this year.
“We look forward to them joining our family of Primary Providers and continuing to provide medical care for the residents of Webster County,” said Tiffany Jackson, MBA, Physician Practice Administrator for Methodist Hospital.
According to the letter both Cole and Davis will continue to practice at the Providence clinic the rest of the week “as part of the Methodist family.”
What this means about the future of the Cole Medical Clinic is currently unknown. Methodist Hospital was not prepared to make a statement.
