Timothy Glen (Shorty) Owens, 55, Crofton, KY

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - Timothy Glen (Shorty) Owens, 55, Crofton, KY passed away at 3:24 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his residence of natural causes.

A native of Hopkinsville, KY born August 26, 1957, he was the son of the late Wilbur Mitchell Owens, Sr. and Marian Jean Fisher Owens. He had worked as a driver for Miles Trucking and was now working in railroad maintenance for All-Track, Inc.

He is survived by his best friend and soul mate, Janet Carroll, with whom he made his home, her two daughters; Diana Fiese and Brittany Fiese, four brothers; Mitchell Owens and his wife Connie, Nashville, TN, Randy Owens and his wife Linda, Crofton, Dennis Owens and his wife Loretta, Crofton and Greg Owens and his wife Rita, also of Crofton, two sisters; Nancy Adcock, Hopkinsville and Karen Farmer of Crofton.

He is also survived by three nephews; Will Owens, Scotty (Mari) Owens and B.J. Wallace, four nieces; Tedesa (Tony) McGill, Ashley (Chad) Smith, Olivia Farmer and Bridget Owens, two great-nephews; Tisaak McGill and C.J. Smith and five great-nieces; Rylee Owens, Peyton Owens, Tiona McGill, Tenia McGill and Mystic Jade Wallace.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Hughart & Beard Funeral Home in Crofton conducted by Rev. Alan Hopper with burial to follow in the Owens Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his brothers; Randy Owens, Greg Owens, Mitchell Owens and Dennis Owens along with Ricky Adams, Jimmy Adcock and Kenneth Orten.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 at the funeral home.
