James Allen (Tootsie) Fulkerson, 59, of Owensboro, Ky

eagleOWENSBORO, Ky. - James Allen (Tootsie) Fulkerson, 59, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born July 16, 1953 in Daviess County, Ky to Richard and Shirley Raley Fulkerson. Jimmy graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School. He had most recently worked at River Valley. He loved going to concerts, sporting events, was an avid UK basketball fan and an Owensboro Catholic sports fan.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Edgar and Margaret Fulkerson; maternal grandparents, Robert and Lillian Raley and his furry baby of 12 years, Peanuts.

Aside from his parents, he is survived by a sister, Mary Beth Howard of Owensboro, three brothers, Chris (Susie) Fulkerson of Owensboro, Todd (Jackie) Fulkerson of Owensboro, Drew (Stacey) Fulkerson of Stanley, nephews, Shawn (Melissa) Howard, Eric Fulkerson, Dylan Fulkerson, Madison Fulkerson, Jordan Fulkerson, nieces, Morgan Fulkerson, Emily Fulkerson, great nephew, Kaleb Howard and great niece Ashleigh Howard. A special thanks to Donnie and Sharon Brown and Tracey Pack.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Ed Bradley officiating and burial to follow in St. Peter Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home and 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Prayers said 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Peter Building Fund, 81 Church Street, Owensboro, KY 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
