Robert S. 'Bob' Stiff, Jr., 81, of Owensboro, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Robert S. 'Bob' Stiff, Jr., 81, of Owensboro, Ky passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born May 16, 1932 in Daviess County, Ky to the late Robert Stiff, Sr. and Florence Elizabeth Stiff. He retired after 42 years of employment with Field Packing Company where he was a warehouse foreman and he was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Bob was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church, and the Oddfellows and Rebekah Lodge. He loved playing golf and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Margaret and Elizabeth Ann Stiff.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Stiff; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Janie Stiff and Mike and Annette Stiff all of Maceo, KY and Paul and Sherry Stiff of Bells Run, KY; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Rod Robey of Billings, MT and Rachel and Steve Durbin and Mary Lynn and Tim Case all of Owensboro; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Stiff of Houston, TX, Richard and wife, Rita Stiff of Owensboro and David and Connie Stiff of San Jose, CA; a sister, Patricia and Charles Briley of Coarsegold, CA and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Yellow Creek Baptist Church, 5741 Hwy. 144, Owensboro, KY. Entombment is in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at Yellow Creek Baptist Church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Puzzle Pieces, 1512 Frederica St., Owensboro, KY 42301.
