Virginia 'Genny' Whayne 91, of Owensboro, Ky

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Virginia 'Genny' Whayne 91, of Owensboro, Ky formerly of Calhoun passed away Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro. Virginia Mae Galloway was born March 5, 1922 in McLean County, Ky to the late Winfield and Mary Crabtree Galloway and was married to David Whayne. Genny retired from the former Mercy Hospital in Owensboro, was a member of Calhoun Baptist Church, and enjoyed both gardening and cooking. In addition to her parents, Genny was preceded in death by her husband, David Whayne, who passed away July 15, 1983.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Jim and Stephanie Whayne of Owensboro; and a grandson and his wife, Michael and Stephanie Whayne of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel with Dr. Richard Sams officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Genny's family from 10:00 A.M. until time of services Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.
