OWENSBORO, Ky. - Gracie Williams 90, of Fort Branch, Indiana passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, Indiana. Grace Lillian DeLong was born August 22, 1923 in Fort Branch to the late John and Grace French DeLong and was married to R. Frank Williams on June 29, 1947. Gracie was a 1941 graduate of Fort Branch High School, a graduate of Evansville College, and retired after 25 years as clerk of Fort Branch Public Library. She was a member of Enon General Baptist Church in Princeton, Indiana, where she served as treasurer and organist and was a member of the Ladies Missionary Society. Gracie was a member of the Gideons' Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved reading, working crossword puzzles, writing poetry, baking, caring for her flowers, and watching The Wheel of Fortune.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, R. Frank Williams; three daughters: Marjan LaGrange of Newburgh, Chris Wallace, and Patty Sollman (Tom) both of Fort Branch; six grandchildren: Ben Wallace, Rebecca Lamb, Elizabeth Muster, Amanda LaGrange, Robert Sollman, and Elise Sollman; and three great grandchildren: Abigail, Michael, and Kellen Wallace.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Enon General Baptist Church in Princeton with the Rev. Tammy Scheller officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch. Friends may visit with Gracie's family from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the church. Muster Funeral Homes of Calhoun, Ky is handling the arrangements.
The Williams family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Enon General Baptist Church; U.S. Highway 41; Princeton, Indiana 47670. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the church.
